Furniture and imported housewares are increasingly popular thanks to their aesthetics and suit the tastes of modern users. Many high-end European brands such as Italy, Germany, Spain, Turkey,… are favored in the Vietnamese market. Therefore, the demand for imports has also increased significantly in recent years, especially when the EVFTA comes into effect, making it easier to import. So how is the procedure for importing this item? ??
Furniture and household products are generally very diverse in materials. Depending on the material, some additional documents may be required by the customs. For example, imported wooden furniture will require a duplicate spray certificate (Phytosanitary Certificate). But in general, the procedure for importing these items is similar to that of ordinary goods.
HS codes for furniture mostly belong to Chapter 94. For HS codes, for seats with code 9401, HS codes for other furniture items is 9403. However, customers need to check carefully before importing.
